Hello, my name is Simon. I'm a lawyer, and I'm currently studying psychology. Ive been doing my internship here at Cargobot since January. In this blog, I will share my personal experience in the human resources department.
During the onboarding process, I learned about the general functioning of the entire organization. Then, I was assigned to a work group with Natalia, Gina, and Valeria. From the first meeting, I felt like a member of the HR team.
In the beginning, my HR colleagues explained my tasks and the areas that required adjustments with great empathy and patience. Over time, I have been accomplishing my responsibilities, and today I perform multiple functions aimed at making each employee feel pleased to belong to this company.
Among my tasks, I help with the blog and the newspaper, manage birthdays and anniversaries, assist in the onboarding process, oversee health and safety at work, support the recruitment of new hires, and provide assistance to other employees of the organization who require help from HR. I really enjoy participating in the HR team meetings, which aim to foster a good organizational climate at Cargobot. These meetings allow us to discuss work issues and get to know each other's lives.
It was a great experience to attend this year's kick-off event in Medellín and contribute to its success. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet many of you with whom I have later shared support work from HR.
This internship at Cargobot has given me valuable learning experiences related to organizational psychology. The various tasks have contributed to my professional development, and I am happy to support my teammates. By delegating responsibilities to me, they have been able to focus on other important aspects of the organization that require their attention.
In short, I am grateful for this opportunity for professional learning and personal growth and for the support of the HR team. These six months have been filled with wonderful moments.
